Home Improvement
Did anyone watch this show? I LOVE this show. Tim Allen is so funny to me. There's not one thing about this show that I don't love. Allen is funny, Richardson is funny, the boys got hot when they were older, Wilson had great advice, Al wore flannel and his mom was fat. What more could you want? xD I have so many good memories watching this show when I was 9 and 10. ^_^

I used to watch it all the time. Wilson Wilson always made me laugh. It was a good show but I haven't watched it in a while.

Re: Home Improvement
I had the first, third, fourth, and eighth season on DVD. xD I admit it. I'm an HI nerd. lol I can't believe it's almost been 20 years since the beginning of the series (1991). I'm used to saying that the 90s were around 10 years ago. xD

I know right. I try calculating people's ages and I wind up skipping a decade.

Re: Home Improvement
I watched it sometimes. To be honest, Tim Allen has never been my favorite actor. He's a good actor, but just something about him I don't like. And that show bugged me after I saw the first few episodes. They were all the same. Tim would grunt, his wife would yell at him for blowing something up, Wilson would hide his chin, tell Tim something smart, and Tim would tell everyone else what Wilson said, but in a mixed up way. I just didn't like that show that much.

Even though you were expressing what you didn't like about the show, it just made my reminisce on what I liked about the show. ^_^

The Santa Clause! I used to have that film and I loved it. The second one sucked and I will not see the third one.
He used to have problems with drugs (cocaine, I believe) and alcohol in the 70's, Ty. Glad he's alright now.

Yup. Busted for trying to sell coke to an undercover cop in 1978. Anyways, I'm done changing the topic. HOME IMPROVEMENT!

Re: Home Improvement
Jonathan Taylor Thomas was so cute and then he turned hot. ^_^ He played Randy, the second son. He also voiced young Simba in The Lion King, and he also played in a few Disney films like Man of the House and Tom and Huck.

Re: Home Improvement
That boy was hot in the show, he probably looks hotter now. And yeah Tim had some issues with the white a lot of people did in the late 70's through the 80's until like 88 it was an epidemic. Anyway back on topic.

Most recent picture of him I could find. He quit acting so it's hard to find some of him now. Still hot imo.

Re: Home Improvement
He does look quite a lot like him. In fact, that's why he was cast:
"In 1990, he landed his biggest role yet, as Randy Taylor on "Home Improvement" (1991). Jonathan's audition went well, but what really gave him an edge over the other boys was that the casting directors thought that he looked a lot like his TV dad-to-be, Tim Allen."

Anyway, very hot. I always liked Randy more than I like Brad or Mark.

Such a great show... "Tim the Tool Man" lol
The 90's produced so many great sitcoms. They're far funnier than the current sitcoms, imo.

Very true. At least back then they had good humor rather than EVERYTHING having to be dirty somehow.

There's very few new sitcoms that I like. If I want to watch 'the classics', TBS or TV Land is always there. ^_^

Re: Home Improvement
See, they're wrong about sitcoms. Sitom's never died, the writers comic talent did.

Re: Home Improvement
As time goes on, films/television shows of course start to become un-original so yes the writer's comic talent dies. Most of the writing is an imitation of other popular sitcoms from the past. I can't really speak on that since I previously write (and I'm trying to get back in the habit of doing so again) and most of what I did write was an imitation and has to come from something that inspires me. It's the way writing works. There's not much film/television ideas that haven't been covered yet, at one point or another. At least, genre wise it hasn't.
